Global House of Prayer

About

Global House of Prayer is established to foster a non-stop chorus of prayer in the Hampton Roads region that will ignite the flames of revival, not only across America, but the world. There have been several significant movements of prayer in the area, and our aim is to provide a venue for unified prayer, not to compete, but to help foster the growing hunger for a divine move of God that is beyond what has been experienced in the region before.

Our region is one of rich history of the spiritual awakening and dedication to the kingdom of God in our area stretching from Cape Henry in Virginia Beach to Williamsburg, VA. On April 29, 1607, the land was dedicated to the Almighty God in Cape Henry. And a few days later the first permanent settlement was established at Jamestown in obedience to the word of God, reflecting God’s heart and God’s will. Our aim is to pursue God, not only as an individual city, but also as a regional area.

Facilities: The Tidewater House of Prayer (THOP) was established in 2006 as a venue for 24-7 prayer. For 12 years, this venue remained open for corporate prayers until in July 2018, the location was sold to developers. In the meantime, Global Outreach Church (GO Church) has been a church of prayer since its inception, having prayed for the nations in each service from the very beginning. The congregation has also always had a dream of one day establishing a 24-7 House of Prayer. With this in mind, the news that THOP was in need of a new venue allowed GO Church the opportunity to offer its facilities, hence the merging of forces.

Of course, a regional House of Prayer needs to be in a neutral venue, and GO Church is actively pursuing a plan to build a new facility for its congregation, leaving the present building for the exclusive use of regional prayer. In the meantime, we encourage regional intercessors to work with us during this time of transition. Join us in prayer - we are doing everything to make our home, your home.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for

brethren to dwell together in unity!
